Week 9 Pick Against The Spread Falcons Over Colts

In week 9 NFL action this week, the Atlanta Falcons travel north to take on the Indianapolis Colts in a 1:00 pm EST match-up. This week’s line shows the Falcons favored by 7 points, under/over is 44.5.

The Colts have been more than awful this year. Not only are they 0-8 straight up, against the spread they are just 2-6 and 2-5 ATS as the underdog.

The Atlanta Falcons (4-3) are coming off a bye week and a two game win streak.  They are in a tie for second place in the NFC South with the Tampa Bay Bucs, a half game behind the New Orleans Saints (5-3).

Although the Falcons haven’t been impressive against the spread in 2011 (they are 3-4 ATS,  1-3 ATS playing away, 1-2 ATS as the favorite and 0-2 ATS as the away favorite), they did beat the spread in an impressive win against the 6-2 Lions in week 7.

While the Falcons are refreshed and playing their best ball, expect the Colts to continue their epic collapse and stay on course to “Luck” out in the next draft.

The Atlanta Falcons should beat the Indianapolis Colts by 10 points in a low scoring affair.
