Quarterbacks Suffer Significant Injuries In Week 10
Some NFL teams might want to forget last Sunday. That’s because quarterbacks suffered significant injuries in Week 10 action. The injuries include a possible season-ending hand injury to Chiefs QB Matt Cassel, a significant foot injury to the Texans’ Matt Schaub, 2 broken ribs to the Eagles Michael Vick and a broken right thumb to the Steelers Ben Roethlisberger.
Kansas City Chiefs Matt Cassel could be lost for the season after suffering a significant injury to his throwing hand in the Chiefs loss (17-10) to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The injury occurred late in the 4th quarter when Cassel was sacked by Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller. He was replaced by Tyler Palko in the final offensive series against the Broncos.

Giants Dogs To Run Over Vicks’ Eagles

Giants
Eagles QB Michael Vick thinks a pet dog would be good therapy. Vick won’t get that opportunity soon, but he’ll get the chance to watch the Giants “dogs” run all over his Eagles defense.
On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles travel up the turnpike to take on the Giants in Week 15 NFL action. The winner gets sole possession of first place in the NFC East playoff race.
Expect the game to be a throwback, smash-mouth football game. The Giants will try to control the ball, and the clock with their rushing game. The Eagles, on the other hand, will lean on the throwing and running abilities of QB Michael Vick.
Although the Eagles won the first meeting (27-17), the Giants are healthier than ever and playing their best defense. The Giant “D” is confident that they will be able to contain Michael Vick and keep the Eagles from scoring.
But the difference in this NFC East matchup will be the Giants “dogs” Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. The pair of running backs will eat up the clock and make the Eagles defense play the run. Eli Manning and the Giants receiver Corp will then exploit the Eagles fun defense with the “play-action-pass”.
The result - Giants beat the Eagles by a touchdown in a low scoring affair – and Vick and the Eagles will lick their wounds and wish they had “dogs” like the Giants.

Expect Michael Vick To Sign Before NFL Playoffs
Will Michael Vick sign with an NFL team and play in the 2009 NFL season? Based on comments and positions of almost all the NFL teams, the answer is absolutely No!
But what happens in late October and early November? You know as well as I, that the NFL season can be tough on a QB. Injuries, ineffectiveness and/or lack of surrounding talent can mean the worst for any QB. Do you expect the 2009 NFL season to be any different?
The only question in my mind is when will Michael Vick be signed. Will it be by the end of the major league baseball regular season? By Halloween? How about Thanksgiving? Either way, Michael Vick will be signed and will play in the NFL in 2009 for a football team headed to the NFL playoffs.
When Vick does sign, expect that NFL owner to say all the right things; to spin the Michael Vick saga as “the comeback story of the decade”. That NFL organization will say that Michael has served his debt to society and that he deserves a second chance.
Of course, this will all be hypocrisy - done only to gain an advantage; to help them win football games.
And you can bet there will be many who protest the signing. But who are they to judge?
